1.3 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
This machine must be used with care. To this end, the machine
GB
bears pictograms intended to remind you of the main
precautions for use. Their meaning is explained below. We also
recommend that you carefully read the safety rules given in the
relevant chapter of this manual.
Replace damaged or illegible labels.
41. Warning! Danger. This machine, if not used correctly, can
be hazardous to itself and to others.
42. Wear protective goggles.
43. Do not expose to rain (or moisture).
44. Keep bystanders at a distance.
45. Read the instruction manual before using this machine.
46. Direction of rotation of the cutting device.

(1) Racing.
(2) The total value of the declared vibration has been measured
using a standard test method and can be used to compare one
tool with another; the total value of the declared vibration can
also be used in a preliminary exposure assessment.
WARNING!: the emission of vibrations during the actual
use of the power tool may differ from the total declared
value depending on the method of use of the tool.
Safety measures to protect the operator based on an exposure
estimate in the actual conditions of use (taking into account all
parts of the operating cycle, such as the times when the tool is
switched off and when it is inactive in addition to the trigger
time) must be identified.
2. SAFETY RULES
(to be strictly followed)
GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS FOR POWER TOOLS
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the safety warnings and instructions may
result fire and/or serious injury.

WARNING!: Local regulations may restrict the age of the
operator or the use of the machine.
CAUTION: damaged or illegible adhesive labels must be
replaced. Request new labels from an Authorized Service
Center.
WARNING!: listen to warning signals or shouts when
wearing hearing protection. Always remove hearing
protection as soon as the motor stops.

electromagnetic field of very low intensity. This field could
interfere with certain pacemakers. To reduce the risk of
serious or fatal injury, persons with pacemakers should
consult their doctor or the manufacturer of the pacemaker
before using this machine.
Store all warnings and instructions for future reference. The
term "power tool" mentioned in the warnings refers to your
equipment powered by a battery (without cable).
Residual risks - Despite complying with all safety
requirements, some additional risks may still persist:
-
risk of injury to fingers and hands if used in rotating the
string on the head;
-
risk of foot injury if hit by the string on the head;
-
ejection of stones and soil.
76.0
(1)
1) Safety in the work area
2.0
a) Keep the work area clean. Dirty and cluttered areas promote
accidents.
86.2
(1)
b) Do not use the power tool in potentially explosive
1.1
atmospheres, in the presence of flammable liquids, gas or
dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite dust or
87
fumes.
< 2.5 (1) (2)
c) Keep children and bystanders away when using a power
tool. Distractions can cause loss of control.
1.0
2) Electrical safety
a) Avoid bodily contact with earthed or grounded surfaces
such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. The risk of
electric shock increases if the body is earthed or grounded.
b) Do not expose the power tools to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric
shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, check what you are doing and use common sense
when using a power tool. Do not use the power tool while
you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of distraction while operating a
power tool may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use protective clothing. Always wear eye protection. The use
of protective equipment such as dust masks, non-slip
footwear, protective helmets or ear muffs, reduces personal
injury.
c) Avoid accidentally starting up the tool. Make sure the tool is
switched off before inserting the battery, grasping or
carrying the power tool. Carrying a power tool with the
finger on the switch and the battery installed promotes
accidents.
