SOFT-START fig. 66 – 67.
Adjustment ranges from 0 to 100%. This is the wire speed
expressed as a percentage of the speed set for welding,
before the wire touches the workpiece to be welded.
This adjustment is important for consistently achieving
effective start-up.
The manufacturer adjustment is Auto (Default function)
Turn knob I to select the parameter and confirm the se-
lection by pressing the knob.
Press the AUTO key to restore factory settings.
BURNBACK CORRECTION fig. 68 – 69.
The adjustment can vary from -125 to +125 ms. Its pur-
pose is to adjust the length of wire emerging from the
gas nozzle after welding. A positive figure corresponds to
more wire burnt.
The manufacturer's setting is 0 (Default function).
Turn knob I to select the parameter and confirm the se-
lection by pressing the knob.

In this section you can save, call up, restore,
copy or cancel the working programs.
Saving a "JOB" program.
After finding the ideal welding condition to be saved,
press the SAVE
key: the screen displays the first
available JOB number. The saved string shows process,
type, wire diameter and gas; see fig. 94.
Before saving the working program, select the number
under which it is to be saved by turning knob I to the se-
lected number.
The JOB screen shows the SAVE key as well as two
other keys: COPY
Press the COPY key to copy any saved JOB and save it
again under another number while the DELETE key dele-
tes any saved program.

The JOB displays all saved JOBS. Pressing the RECALL
key for any JOB, calls it up to use or modify it.
Pressing the DETAILS
splays all parameters for that JOB and it is also possible
to give a title to the welding mode being used; see fig. 95
– 96 and 97.
When the JOB MODE function (see fig. 98 and 99) is se-
lected, the machine prepares for welding with the JOB
number selected by the knob AN, fig. 99 and 100.
SECTOR DM. TEST, see fig. 101
In this section the following are tested:
Gas from 5 to 60 seconds, see fig. 102.
Motor, both forward and backwards, from 0.7m/min to
25m/min; see fig.103.
Backward movement stops after few seconds.
SECTOR DN. STATUS BAR
Date, time and all the options installed on the machine are
displayed in this sector.
Touch the installed options sector for quick access to the
corresponding menu.

SECTOR DB.
As seen in the figure, the display is divided into sectors. In
each sector, settings operations may be conducted. The
main sector DB is the only one with a red frame. To select
and enable the functions in this sector, press knob I, cho-
ose the function you wish to modify by turning the knob
and the selected functions will turn blue. The name of the
selected function will be displayed on the upper left.
The welding process always appears in the upper left
between sectors DB and DN.
When the function is highlighted in blue, simply press the
knob and the function will turn red. A cursor will be displa-
yed indicating the minimum, maximum and set values.
To change this value, set it using the knob; to confirm it,
press the knob again. All the other sectors are selected
by touch.
The screen displays the welding current in Amperes and
the welding voltage in Volts.
The welding settings are summarised in the settings ta-
ble.
