Mig Short see fig.106.
For MIG short welding, select the wire type, diameter and
gas; select in the main menu, by means of process and
material keys.
Welding parameters are synergically set by means of the
knob.
All types of usable wires, diameters and gases are also
shown on a plate inside the mobile side panel.
Mig Short HD see fig. 107.
This process offers the option of increasing wire speed
for the same welding voltage to reduce weld execution
time and distortion, with higher productivity. Once the
knob has been turned to the required current and volta-
ge, turn knob ANto increase or reduce the set speed per-
centage, display H will display the new speed in metres
per minute, while continuing to display the speed set by
the manufacturer, see fig. 108-109-110. The maximum
positive and negative values of this percentage will be
indicated by the message LIMIT see fig.
When this key is selected, simply press knob I and hold
down for at least 2 seconds to return quickly to the set
value.
Mig Root see fig.111.
This process is designed for "root" welding of descent
vertical "butt" welds.
Suitable for iron and stainless steel.
Mig Manual see fig.113-114.
For MIG manual welding, select the type of wire, diame-
ter and gas; select from the Main Menu by means of the
process and material keys.
To weld using this process, adjust wire speed and wel-
ding voltage. Press the knob on the main screen to select
wire speed as well as welding voltage and value.
All types of usable wires, diameters and gases are also
shown on a plate inside the mobile side panel.

7 TIG WELDING

Connect the floating connector of the power source-wire
feeder connection to front socket L (-).
Connect the earth cable to socket K (+).
Connect the power connector of the TIG torch to socket
C.
Connect the gas pipe emerging from the TIG torch to
connector D.
Connect the TIG torch service connector to connector E.
Connect the gas pipe emerging from the power source-
wire feeder connection to fitting X.
To set up the machine for TIG welding follow the instruc-
tions previously described in the menu.

8 MMA WELDING

Connect the electrode holder clamp cable connector to
connector K or N and the earth cable connector to con-
nector L (observing the polarity stated by the electrode
manufacturer).
In order to prepare the machine for MMA welding, follow
the instructions previously described in the menu.
9 MAINTENANCE
All maintenance jobs must be performed by profes-
sional personnel according to the IEC 26-29 (IEC
60974-4) standard.
9.1 POWER SOURCE MAINTENANCE
When performing maintenance inside the device, make
sure switch R is in "O" position and that the power sup-
ply cable is disconnected from the mains.
Periodically, also clean the inside of the appliance and
remove any metal dust using compressed air.
9.2 WHAT TO DO AFTER A REPAIR.
After a repair, be careful to arrange the wiring to ensu-
re secure insulation between the primary side and the
secondary side of the machine. Avoid the wires coming
into contact with moving parts or parts that heat up du-
ring operation. Refit all the cable ties as they were on the
original device so as to avoid any contact between the
primary and secondary side in case of accidental wire
breakage or disconnection.
Also, fit the screws back on with the notched washers as
on the original machine.
