6.1.1 i-TTL flash mode
i-TTL mode is supported by cameras in
Group C (see 2.1).
i-TTL is a digital TTL mode and an exten-
sion of the analogue camera TTL mode.
Shortly before actual exposure of a shot,
several almost imperceptible metering
pre-flashes are triggered.
The metering pre-flashes' reflected light
is evaluated by the camera.
The camera exposure is then adapted to
the given shot based on this information
(see camera operating instructions for
further information).
Configuration procedure
• Switch on the flash unit by pressing the
button
.
• Press the "TTL"
button on the flash
unit to configure the TTL mode.
• Set a corresponding operating mode
on the camera e.g. P, S, A.
• Lightly depress the camera shutter to
allow the data transfer between
camera and flash unit. If the camera
supports i-TTL mode this will also be
carried out by the flash unit.
There is no special display for i-TTL flash
mode.
