8. Maintenance
The SKF MultiPoint Automatic Lubricator LAGD 400 has been designed for a long and
trouble free life and should last many years if used correctly. To maximise the operating
reliability of the unit, the following recommendations must be followed:
• Use only high quality, stable greases. The types of grease supplied by SKF are
suitable for most applications and are available worldwide.
• Use only new grease cartridges or fill used cartridges with clean grease through the
grease filling nipple.
• Do not expose the lubricants to contaminants since this can eliminate lubrication and
damage both bearings and lubricator.
In the event that the lubricator is damaged, switch off the power supply to the lubricator
immediately. There are no user serviceable parts inside the lubricator.
In the event of a malfunction, return the lubricator to your local authorised
SKF service centre.
