3. DESCRIPTION
These powerful VOSS.farming XTREME duo electric fence energisers are suitable
for long fences with heavy vegetation where maximum efficiency and reliability are
required. Thanks to their performance they can overcome overgrown fence posts and
provide sufficient voltage to the entire fence. The integrated microprocessor controls
the entire operation and ensures best possible result based on the fence condition and
current situation.
The VOSS.farming XTREME duo electric fencers can be operated from the 230 V mains
or a suitable 12 V battery. The energisers are equipped with a permanently fixed 230 V
connection cable and a screwable 12 V battery connection. The battery can be connec-
ted using the cable supplied with a waterproof plug. This unit is preferably operated
with mains voltage, but offers the possibility of connecting a battery as a replacement
source in case of a power failure. Operating the electric fence independently from the
battery is not suitable in the long term due to the higher energy consumption and the
low capacity of conventional batteries.
During operation the voltage on the fence is measured
continuously. The output power of the VOSS.farming
XTREME duo energiser is then automatically adjusted to
maintain the desired output voltage within the maximum
load range. This control contributes significantly to energy
savings when using high-quality fences with low loads. It
also optimizes energy consumption to maintain a suffi-
ciently high voltage on fences that are overgrown with
grass (high load).
A digital control LCD display as well as LEDs and BARGRAPH on the front of the VOSS.
farming XTREME duo show the operation of the power supply, voltage on the fence and also
a possible fault on the fence (more on this on page 36).
The device has a black grounding terminal, a red fence connection (full power) and a
yellow fence connection (approx. 50% power).
The yellow fence connection can be used for 2 applications.
1.
The yellow fence connection (permanently approx. 50% power) can be used for
fencing younger or more sensitive animals (e.g. foals, calves).
2.
The yellow fence connection can also be used together with the red fence
connection on a fence.
