IMPORTANT: The red and yellow terminals must be connected to separate conductors
on the fence. The yellow fence connector is connected to the bottom conductor of the
fence. The red fence connector is connected to the upper conductors of the fence (Fig.
2). The advantage of this use is that the lower conductor overcomes vegetation and the
upper conductor is not affected in its performance.

VOSS.farming XTREME duo energiser with more than 5 J stored energy
For energisers with power over 5J special requirements must be observed, i.e time
delay for the power increase and thus a guarantee of safety.
The VOSS.farming XTREME duo energisers have a time delay of 50 seconds. This means
that if the fence is touched and the resistance drops below 500 ohms (heavy vege-
tation, fallen branch, etc.) the fencer delivers a maximum of 5J for 50 seconds. If the
resistance of the fence does not increase within this time (elimination of the cause), the
electric fence increases the output energy gradually (e.g. model XTREME X200 up to 15J).
Another function is the warning if the fence voltage suddenly changes. If the fence
resistance drops abruptly in a pulse of more than 1000 ohms to less than 400 ohms
(fallen branch, trapped animal or human being ...), an alarm is triggered after
six pulses - a beeping sound and red LED flashes. At the same time the pulse interval
is slowed down to 3 seconds. The alarm is switched off when the fence resistance is
increased to more than 600 Ohm or after 10 minutes. Both functions are independent
and self-contained.
