TROUBLESHOOTING

Excess Vibration
1. Blade is out of balance. Remount and re-
check blade. Replace if necessary.
2. Blade is warped or damaged. Replace blade
immediately.
3. Saw is not mounted securely to a level work
surface. Reposition on a level surface and
tighten all mounting hardware securely.
Rip fence does not operate smoothly.
1. Rip fence not mounted correctly. Remount
the rip fence.
2. Rails are dirty or sticky. Clean underneath
front bar of rip fence and front rail.
3. Adjustment nut needs adjusting. Adjust nut
counterclockwise.
Cutting binds or burns work.
1. Blade is dull. Replace or have blade sharp-
ened.
2. Work is fed too fast. Slow the feed rate.
3. Rip fence is misaligned. Align the rip fence.
4. Wood is warped. Replace wood.
Wood edges away from rip fence when
ripping.
1. Rip fence is misaligned. Check and adjust the
rip fence.
2. Blade not properly sharpened. Have blade
re-sharpened.
Saw does not make accurate 90° or 45°
bevel cuts.
1. Positive stops need adjusting. Adjust posi-
tive stops.

1. Miter gauge is misaligned. Recheck setting
on miter scale

1. Blade is dull or dirty. Clean blade or have
blade sharpened.

blade.
Blade does not lower when turning blade
control handle.
1. Saw dust build up underneath saw. Clean
underside of saw.
