INSTALLING YOUR STOVE
For anything that is not covered by the following installation instructions, always refer to the national regulation in force in the coun-
try of installation. In Italy, refer to UNI standards 10683/2005 and 10412-2 and to Law MD 37, ex L 46/90, as well as any regulations
issued by the Region of installation or the local health authority.
If you intend to install your stove in a condominium or other block of flats, always ask the building manager for prior authorisation.
Checking for compatibility with other devices installed
According to UNI standard N° 10683/2005, these stoves many NOT be installed in the same room where extractors, type A or B gas
powered devices or any other devices that reduce the air pressure in the room are already installed.
Checking the power (electricity) connections
(LOCATE THE PLUG IN AN ACCESSIBLE PLACE)
Your stove is fitted with a power supply cable designed to be plugged into a 230V 50 Hz socket, preferably fitted with a magnetother-
mal switch. Any variations of more than 10% in voltage may be harmful to your stove (if you do not already have one, you should
first install a suitable differential switch). The wiring plant must comply with the standards in force; in particular, check the efficien-
cy of the earthing. The power supply line must have a cross-section suitable for the stove's power.
Positioning your stove
To function correctly, your stove must be positioned absolutely on the level.
Check that the floor can bear the load!
Safety distances for fire prevention
You must comply with the following safety conditions when installing your stove:
- minimum distance at sides and rear: 40 cm from averagely inflammable materials;
- place no averagely inflammable materials any closer then 80 cm in front of the stove;
- if the stove is installed on an inflammable floor, you must place it on a sheet of heat insu-
lating material that protrudes at least 20 cm at the sides and 40 cm in front.
Never place any objects made of inflammable materials on the stove or any closer than the
safety distances.
If any connections are made through walls made of wood or other inflammable materials, you
must insulate the smoke tube with ceramic fibre or another material with similar properties.
Air intake
The room where the stove is located must have an air intake whose cross-section is at least
80 cm
2
, so as to guarantee that the air consumed by combustion is replenished.
Smoke discharge
The chimney system must serve the stove and nothing else (you must never feed the smoke outlet into a flue shared with other
devices).
The smoke must be discharged from the stove through the 8 cm diameter tube located at the rear. A T joint with a condensation col-
lector should be installed at the beginning of the tube's vertical stretch. The stove's own smoke outlet must be connected to this exter-
nal chimney using steel or black steel pipes (resistant to 450°C), with no obstructions.
The pipe must be sealed perfectly. The materials used to seal the pipes and also the ones (if any) used to insulate them must be resi-
stant to at least 300°C (silicon or mastic for use at high temperatures).
Horizontal stretches may be no more than two (2) metres long and must in any case have an upward gradient of no less than 3%. A
maximum of two 90° curves may also be used.
If the smoke outlet does not feed into a chimney flue, you must install a vertical pipe at least 1.5 metres long, complete with a win-
dproof terminal.
The vertical conduit may be indoors or outdoors. If the smoke flue is outdoors, it must be insulated.
If the smoke vent feeds into a chimney flue, it must be certified as suitable for solid fuels; if its diameter is greater than 150 mm, the
pipe must be inserted inside it and the outlet must be insulated from the masonry structure. All the parts of the smoke conduit must be
accessible for inspection.
