PROBLEM
2. The cutting means does not
rotate even if the throttle control
lever (Fig. 7.A) and locking
lever (Fig. 7.B) are engaged.
3. The cutting means overheats
during operation.
4. The cutting means comes
into contact with a line
or electric cable.
5. The cutting means comes into
contact with a foreign body.
6. Excessive noise and/or
vibration is experienced
whilst working.
7. The machine emits smoke
during operation.
8. Battery power reserve is low.
PROBABLE CAUSE
Battery is not inserted or
is inserted incorrectly.
Incorrect connection to
the battery backpack.
Low battery.
Battery backpack
selector to "OFF".
The throttle control lever is faulty
or the machine is damaged.
Insufficient blade lubrication.

Loose or damaged parts.
Machine damaged.
Severe working conditions
requiring greater
current absorption.
Battery is insufficient for
operating requirements.
Decrease in battery capacity.

SOLUTION
Make sure that the battery is
inserted correctly (par. 7.2.3).
Check that the machine is correctly
connected to the battery backpack.
Check the battery status and
recharge if necessary (par. 7.2.2).
Check that the selector (Fig. 5.B)
is placed on one of the batteries
inside the battery backpack.
Do not use the machine. Stop the
machine immediately, disconnect it
from the battery backpack and contact
an Authorised Service Centre.
Turn off the machine, wait until the
cutting means is stationary, disconnect
the machine from the battery backpack
and lubricate the blades (par. 7.4).
DO NOT TOUCH THE BLADE AS IT
MAY BE LIVE AND BE EXTREMELY
DANGEROUS! Grasp the machine using
the insulated rear hand grip only and
position it at a safe distance from yourself.
Disconnect the current that powers
the severed line or mains cable and
disconnect the machine from the battery
backpack before freeing the blade teeth.
Stop the machine, disconnect it
from the battery backpack and:
inspect for damage;
check for and tighten any loose parts;
have any damaged parts replaced
or repaired with parts having
equivalent specifications.

equivalent specifications.
Do not use the machine. Immediately
stop the machine, disconnect it from
the battery backpack and contact
an Authorised Service Centre.
Optimise operations (par. 7.2.1).
Use a second battery or an
extended battery (par. 15.1).
Purchase a new battery.
