Adjusting the harness belt (fig. D).
The harness belt (belt system) must be adjusted to suit your childs body.
The harness shoulder belts must be threaded through the slots nearest to the shoulders of the child.
Adjust the harness shoulder belts as follows (fig. D).
• Open the door of the storage compartment at the back of the shell.
• Pull the shoulder belts through the slots in the cover and the shell.
• Thread the shoulder belts through the correct slots in the shell and cover.
Alter the adjuster belt (belt system) as follows (fig. E):
To loosen: • Press the adjuster button at the front of the shell (fig. E1).
• Pull both harness shoulder belts simultaneously towards you (fig. E2).
To tighten: • Pull the adjuster belt at the front of the shell tight until the harness belt lies firmly against the child.
• The central adjuster belt can be fastened underneath the shell (fig. F).
Using the Maxi-Cosi Citi in the Car (fig. G to H).
Please pay attention to the following when installing the Maxi-Cosi Citi in the car.
• DO NOT use a child safety seat if the vehicle is equipped with a front airbag. This can be dangerous. This does
not apply to so-called side airbags.
• Note the difference between the lap belt (fig. G-1) and the shoulder belt (fig. G-2) when installing the seat in the
car.
• Always place the seat in a rearward facing position on the passenger seat, the carrying handle must be placed in
an upright position (fig H-1)
• If the seat belt is adjustable, place it in the lowest position.
• Ensure that the front seat is in the rearmost position.
• Thread the lap belt of the 3-point seat belt across the front of the seat following the blue belt routing (blue piping)
and thread the belt behind the belt hooks (fig. H2). Fasten the seat belt into the buckle.
• Place the car shoulder belt around the back of the seat and hook it into the bright blue belt hook at the rear (fig.
H-3). Ensure that the car shoulder belt is behind the blue belt hook and blocked by the retaining hook (fig. H-4).
