Minimum horizontal space between
fasteners: 16 in. (406 mm)
●
Stud centers must be verified – not all
walls have conventional 16 in. (406 mm)
or 24 in. (610 mm) stud spacing

Locate a nail/screw in the studs
using the Sanus magnetic stud

finder
provided.
2.
Find the edges of the studs using the
probe of the stud finder
3.
Mark the centers of the studs with
a pencil.
