Battery charging
Connect the battery (14) to the battery charger (17) and the plug of the charger to the socket. Avoid using electrical
extension cables, as they are a source of electrical risks.
The battery charger LED lights (19) become red during the recharge. When the battery is charged up, the LED light (19)
becomes green.
Each recharge connector (18) has a corresponding indicator on the battery charger (17).
The batteries are charged in sequence, the one after the other, not simultaneously.
The LED light (19) indicator becomes red during the recharging operation, green when recharge is over.
Recharge of 3 connected batteries:
As soon as the first battery is charged
up (green LED light (19)), the recharge
of the second battery starts, and then
the recharge of the third one.
When recharge is over, all the LED
Lights (19) are green.
WARNING!
During long periods of inactivity of the tool, it is recommended to charge the battery (14) every 3 months, so as
not to compromise their lifespan.
WARNING!
Use only the battery charger (17) supplied with the tool. A different one with other specifications could cause
fires.
4.2.1
Warnings during and after the charge
•
While recharging, the charger and the battery (14) become warm.
•
The battery needs about 5 charging and discharging cycles to reach its maximum capacity if it is new or if it has not
been used for a long period.
•
Do not charge the battery at a room temperature below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F).
•
Do not recharge a previously charged battery after few minutes of use, so as not to reduce its performance.
•
Do not use a damaged battery.
•
Do not disassemble either the battery or the battery charger.
•
When the battery is not assembled on the tool, keep it away from conductive metal objects, in order to avoid short
circuit risks.
•
Do not cause a short circuit of the battery.
•
Do not store the battery near heat sources, indoors or in a potentially explosive atmosphere. The battery could explode
or generate fire.
•
Do not charge the battery in damp rooms or outdoors.
•
Do not use or charge the battery close to heat sources or in the direct sunlight.
•
When the battery charge decreases, the tool performance decreases as well
•
Do not leave the battery in the rain and store it in a dry place.
•
Do not put the tool, the battery or the charger into any liquids.
•
Do not insert nails, do not hammer or step on or throw or cause any other damage to the battery.
•
Do not carry out welding on the battery.
