Thank you for buying this product. Our company is sure that you will be
more than satisfied with the product's performance.
Carefully read the "INSTRUCTION bOOKLET" which is supplied toge-
ther with this product, since they provide important information re-
garding the safety, installation, use and maintenance of the product.
This product complies with recognised technical standards and safety
regulations. We declare that this product is in conformity with the fol-
lowing European Directives: 2004/108/EEC, 2006/95EEC.
This is a type C device according to EN12453-5.5.1, and it only complies
with the 2006/42/EEC directive when it is connected to a control panel
from the same manufacturer, provided with a fault-finding circuit in safety
circuits, and to a conforming sensitive element. In the case where the
fault-finding circuit in safety circuits is not used, get qualified personnel
to check the device function at intervals not longer than 6 months.
wARNING
When carrying out connection and installation operations always refer
to the current legislation in force, as well as to good technical principles.
1) GENERAL OUTLINE
VENTIMIGLIA NS is a safety device which can be used on sliding and
swing gates, roll-up doors, sliding and sectional doors.
wARNING! Any modification to safety devices could create dangerous
conditions.
The VENTIMIGLIA NS device is made up of three parts:
- receiver unit (-RX- supplied with a 60cm cable),
- transmitter unit (-TX- supplied with a 6.2m cable) and
- control unit (CU).
The receiver unit and the control unit must be connected using a screened
cable, such connection must not be longer then 0.6 metres.

3) CONNECTIONS TO TERMINAL bOARD (fig. 1)
wARNING! Before connecting the relay contacts to the fault finding
circuit read the instructions given below.
Refer to the connection diagrams of the devices checked, which are
contained in the instruction manual for the control unit being used.
VENTIMIGLIA NS is represented like the terminal bar of a generic
photocell:
- VENTIMIGLIA NS terminals from 1 to 5 correspond to RX terminals
from 1 to 5,
- VENTIMIGLIA NS terminal 6 corresponds to TX terminal 1.
In the case where the fault-finding circuit is not used in safety circuits,
make a wire jumper between VENTIMIGLIA NS terminals 1 and 6, and
have qualified personnel check the functional operation of the device
at intervals not longer than 6 months.

INSTALLATION MANUAL
RX UNIT:
Do not exceed the maximum lengths allowed for connections, i.e. 0.6 m
max. The company does not guarantee correct operation of the appliance
when the installation specifications are not observed.
TX UNIT:
For connection of the transmitter unit, there is no need to connect the
braid (screen) and the connection length is not critical.
4) SENSITIVITy SETTING
wARNING! For safety edges longer than 2 m, remove the attenuator
filter from the sensor of the receiver (Fig. 6).
To set edge activation, act on the appropriate trimmer (Fig.1); when
turned anticlockwise, edge activation sensitivity increases (i.e. less
pressure is sufficient for activation); when turned clockwise, edge ac-
tivation sensitivity decreases (i.e. more pressure is needed for activa-
tion). Setting is to be carried out as follows:
1) Turn the trimmer clockwise all the way (minimum sensitivity).
2) Supply the device with power and check that the photocells are
aligned (the Led must come on).
3) Exert pressure at the centre of the safety edge, causing a deforma-
tion of about 5 mm.
4) Keeping the deformation, slowly turn the trimmer anticlockwise
until causing edge activation (the Led goes off ) or until reaching
the minimum sensitivity level.
5) Check that, after eliminating the pressure on the rubber edge, the
Led comes on, while, after exerting a pressure which deforms the
rubber edge of about 5 mm, the Led goes off.
6) Apply silicone to the RX receiver unit and the TX transmitter unit,
and stick them to the side of edge to obtain a sealed secured fit-
ting.

must be disposed of according to current regulations.
In case of malfunction, request the assistance of qualified personnel.
wARNING!
Correct operation is only ensured when the data contained in the
