Intended Use

The SMA Data Manager L is the central communication unit for monitoring, control and grid-
compliant output regulation of large-scale PV power plants with central or string inverters. The
following is included into the SMA infrastructure via the Ethernet interface of the
SMA Data Manager L: system components and systems including energy generators and loads, I/
O systems and meters. At the same time, the SMA Data Manager L supports communication with
up to 200 devices.
The product is designed for indoor use only.
All components must remain within their permitted operating ranges and their installation
requirements at all times.
