Laser safety

System design
The LambdaUnite
for Devices and Radiological Health (FDA/CDRH) regulations FDA/CDRH 21 CFR
1040.10 and 1040.11 as a Class I and with IEC 60825-1 as a Class 1 Optical Fiber Tele-
communication laser product.
The system has been designed to ensure that the operating personnel is not endangered by
laser radiation during normal system operation. The safety measures specified in the
FDA/CDRH regulations and the international standards IEC 60825-Part 1 and 2
respectively are met. Please also refer to the section
These laser warning labels (not to scale) are affixed on the LambdaUnite
equipment. They refer to the system as a whole in normal operation.
