Setting the Function Help
Displayshelp on the menu functions.
t. Press the MENU button to display the menu.
Press the A or v buttons to select "Setup", then press the ENTER_ button.
2. Press the A or v buttons to select "Function Help", then press the ENTER_ button,
3. Press the .,- or - buttons to select "On", then press the ENTER_ button,
Press the EXIT button to exit,
:_ The predeterminedvalue of the functionhelp is On.
Using the V-Chip
The V-Chip feature automatically locks out programs that am deemed inappropriate for children. The user must emer a PIN (personal ID
number) before any of the V-Chip restrictions arc set up or changed.
When the V-chip feature is activated, the PIP features do not function.
Setting Up Your Personal ID Nmnber (PIN)
t. Press the MENU button to display the menu.
Press the .,- or _ buttons to select "Setup", then press the ENTER_ button.
2. Press the .,- or _ buttons to select "V-Chip", then press the ENTER_ button.
The message "Enter PIN" will appear. Enter your4 digit PIN number.
:_ The default PIN numberof a new TV set is "0-0-0-0".
3. The "V-Chip" screen will appear.
Press the ,*- or _ buttons to select "Change PIN", then press the ENTER_ button.
The Change PIN screen will appear, Choose any 4 digits for your PIN and enter them.
As soon as the 4 digits are entered, the "Confirm new PIN" screen appears,
Re-enter the same 4 digits, When the Confirm screen disappears,
your PIN has been memorized,
Press the EXIT button to exit,
:_ If you forget the PIN, press the remote-control buttons in the following sequence,
which resets the pin to 0-0-0-0 : Power Off. _ Mute _ 8 _ 2 _ 4 _ Power On.
