USER REQUIREMENTS: USE
STARTING AND STOPPING THE UNIT
▪ WARNING! The unit must only be started for the first time by specialist technical personnel, or specifically by the installer who, having
completed the work on the system, can verify its safety and overall operation.
▪ Before starting the unit, make sure that the installer has completed all the required operations.
▪ Do not leave the unit powered on when not in use.
fAULTS OR MALfUNCTIONS
In the event of faults and/or malfunctions on the unit:
▪ Deactivate the unit (disconnect the power supply).
▪ Close the water supply valves.
▪ Do not attempt to repair the unit or work on it in any way.
▪ Only contact professionally qualified personnel.
▪ Any repairs on the unit must only be carried out by a manufacturer's authorised service centre, and only using original spare parts.
▪ Failure to heed the above warnings may compromise unit safety.
WARNING ! To ensure unit efficiency and correct operation, annual maintenance must be carried out by professionally qualified personnel,
following the manufacturer's instructions.
USER REQUIREMENTS: SHUTTING DOWN AT THE END Of THE SEASON
▪ Power down the unit using the main disconnect switch on the power supply line.
▪ Close the water supply valves.
▪ In particularly cold climates, drain the water from the system if not used for long periods.
USER INSTRUCTIONS: MAINTENANCE, CLEANING
▪ These units are built using modern technologies that assure long-term high efficiency and performance levels.
▪ It is essential to establish and follow a regular inspection and maintenance programme. The following maintenance programme was established
considering optimal air pollution conditions in the place of installation. The indicated maintenance frequencies are purely indicative and can vary
depending on effective operating conditions. The most aggressive atmospheric conditions occur when there is an abnormal quantity of industrial
fumes, salts, chemical fumes and industrial dust.
TO CLEAN THE UNIT
ATTENTION! Disconnect the unit from the main power supply before cleaning it.
Do not direct jets of water on the unit. This may cause electrocution or damage the unit. Do not use hot water, abrasive substances or solvents; use
a soft cloth to clean the unit. If possible, do not use while the area is being cleaned.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PERfORMED By USERS
N.B.: Accurate maintenance always saves money and increases safety!
At the start of each air-conditioning season, at the start of each heating season and then at least once a month, perform the following operations
▪ Clean the outside of the unit with a damp cloth.
▪ AIR fILTER (Cleaning: every 15 days): The filter can be cleaned by shaking it, washing it with detergent under running water, or by blowing it
with compressed air
IMPORTANT: to clean the filter, compressed air or jets of water must be sprayed in the opposite direction to normal air intake flow, and must not
be too intense, to avoid damaging the filter media. If the filters are cleaned using water, leave them to dry before using, so as to not affect system
efficiency.
▪ WATER COIL: The heat exchanger coil must be kept in perfect working order so as to ensure the design specifications. Periodically check that the
fins do not have any obstructions that block the flow of air: if necessary, clean the coil, making sure not to damage the aluminium fins. Use a brush,
or even better a vacuum cleaner. In particularly cold climates, drain the water from the system if not used for long periods.
▪ CONDENSATE DRAIN: During summer (cooling operation), make sure that the condensate drain is not blocked and that the pan is clean of dust
or other debris. Dirt may block the drain, causing the condensate pan to overflow.
▪ MOTOR-fAN UNIT: both the motor and the fans rotate on self-lubricating bearings and do not require maintenance. Make sure the impeller is clean.
If not, clean by blowing with compressed air, in such a way as to not damage the impeller.
ANNUAL CONTROLS
To ensure the unit works properly and remains in good condition, have qualified technical staff perform periodic maintenance operations at least
once a year.
▪ Checking the electrical components: Check all the electrical equipment, making sure the electrical connections are perfectly tight.
▪ Make sure all the bolts, nuts and flanges that may have come loose due to vibrations are perfectly tight.
▪ Check that there are no traces of dust, dirt or other impurities on the motor. Periodically check that the unit works without generating vibrations or
strange noises, that the ventilation circuit inlet is not obstructed with the consequent possibility of before using them the windings overheating.
▪ Make sure there is no dirt and no foreign bodies on the fan screw.
