Notes:
highlighted codes are only available for 80AW2 modules
for 80AW2 modules, if code 63 is set to NO TERMINAL, it is not possible to set code 0 to ON; additionally code 64
is automatically set to NO TERMINAL and is not displayed

Heating mode

Heating mode is selected setting code 0 to ON and code 1
to HEATING.
The water temperature for heating is determined according
to the outside air temperature, through a climatic curve that
the installer is free to set.
The room temperature setpoint is set by the user.
If the CDU is unable to meet the heating duty (e.g. at very
low temperatures in winter) the auxiliary heaters can be
activated, depending on the control settings.
If the CDU is in fault mode, only the auxiliary heaters
operate to reach the desired temperature ( if code 13 in the
user interface is set to "yes" ).
Depending on the settings of code 2 and code 3, the system
operates in comfort mode, ECO mode or anti freeze mode.

Comfort mode

Room setpoint is set by the user through code 7 for zone 1
and code 10 for zone 2.
The control calculates the water setpoint for the available
zones, depending on the outdoor temperature and the
settings of the climatic curves ( codes 20, 21, 22, 24 for zone
1, codes 20, 21, 23, 25 for zone 2 ).

Description
The wished water temperature value is limited to
optimize the effi ciency of the CDU
Number of hours the electric heater 1 has been ON
Number of hours the electric heater 2 has been ON
Set this parameter to
YES
to perform pump down
operation
If outdoor temperature is lower then this value, CDU
is turned off and the heating duty is met using the
external boiler. Only available for modules without
electric heater.

code 30, the conditions for turning on the auxiliary heaters
are still valid, the second stage of electric heater, if present,
is activated, provided that code 31 is set to 2AP. The auxiliary
heaters are turned off once the main water setpoint is
reached.
In the event of a CDU fault, auxiliary heating is authorized
regardless the outside temperature, if code 13 is set to yes.
Electric heater manual reset safety switch
In case of overheating, a limit thermostat trips the electrical
heater and a message is displayed on the user interface.
The thermostat is set to 60°C.
Floor heating manual reset protection
A manual reset protection is present in 80AW1 modules and
in the zone kit with 3 way valve for 80AW2 modules.
If water in the circuit reaches 60°C, the device stops the
water pump, to avoid circulating too hot water in underfl oor
circuits.
Additionally a message is displayed on the user interface.
Economy mode (ECO)
In ECO mode the room temperature set point is reduced.
The user / installer can regulate the setpoint reduction by
setting code 14.
This mode is selected
from the key pad display (code 02 set to ECO) .
by opening a dry contact from a time clock or a telephone
command, not included, connected to the electronic
control (in this case the installer should set code 32 to
ECO) .
NOTE
For fl oor circuits, only use ECO mode over periods of few
days.
In cooling mode, the ECO signal has no eff ect.
Antifreeze protection mode (A_F)
In Antifreeze protection mode, heating is activated only if
the room temperature is below 12 °C.
This mode is selected
from the key pad display (code 02 set to A_F) .
