3.0 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The AHP Series Pumps are air/hydraulic pumps. Air pressure acting
on a reciprocating air piston is used to generate hydraulic oil pressure.
The pumps are available with two different hydraulic piston/air piston
ratios to maximize your application. The AHP40 pump has a 44:1 air
piston to hydraulic piston ratio. This ratio is ideal for high
flow/moderate pressure applications. The AHP-60 pump has a 64:1
air piston to hydraulic piston ratio. This ratio is ideal for high
pressure/moderate flow applications. Both the AHP40 and AHP-60
are capable of 5000 psi (350 bar) of hydraulic pressure. A wide range
of air input pressures can be used to power the pumps, 20 psi to 125
psi (1.4 bar to 8.6 bar). The AHP-40/60 pumps each come in four
model variations.
Each of these model variations allows for the mounting of four
different types of valves (Standard Enerpac Manual Valves, VP Series
Valves, DO3 Manifolded Valves and CETOP Manifolded Valves).
Additionally, design of pump allows for easy maintenance and service.
4.0 INSTALLATION

4.1 Hydraulic Connections

Maximum pressure ratings of all valves, pipes, hoses and
accessories used in hydraulic system should have a maximum
pressure rating equal to or higher then that of the pump. Make sure
all hydraulic fittings and connections are securely tightened. See
figures 1, 2 and 3 for hydraulic connections that are specific to
each model of pump.
NOTE: Standard Manifold ("S" suffix) – The standard valve
manifold has two purposes. First, it can be used with any standard
Enerpac 6-bolt pattern valve. This allows you to create a simple on
valve system to power medium to large size circuits. Any standard
