C. Setting/Changing the Tone Mode
You have the choice of three tone modes: 1) Stimulation with tone ON, 2) Stimulation with tone OFF, and 3)
Delayed stimulation with tone ON. To select a tone mode:
• Stimulation with tone ON - Move Switch 4 to the UP position (towards the battery) and Switch 5 to the
DOWN position (away from the battery).
• Stimulation with tone OFF - Move Switches 4 and 5 to the UP positions (towards the battery).
• Delayed stimulation with tone ON - Move Switches 4 and 5 to the DOWN positions (away from the battery).
D. Changing the ID Code
If you experience any problems from other nearby training units, you may wish to select a different setting.
To change the ID Code:
1. Access the battery compartment as described in Section 1, Changing the Stimulation Level.
2. Change one of the settings on SWITCHES 6, 7, or 8.
3. Replace the battery cover on the transmitter.
4. Match the collar receiver to the transmitter as described in Section 3 below.
SECTION 2.
TURNING THE COLLAR ON AND OFF
The collar's ON/OFF switch is indicated by the red paper dot on the side of the receiver. It is activated by
the transmitter's magnetic switch, which is also indicated by a red paper dot.
To turn the collar ON, briefly hold the red paper dot on the transmitter against the red paper dot on the collar
receiver. A slowly flashing light indicates the collar is ON and ready for use.
To turn the collar OFF, again briefly hold the red paper dot on the transmitter against the red paper dot on
the collar receiver. A brief red light indicates the unit has been turned OFF.
SECTION 3.
CHARGING THE COLLAR RECEIVER
MATCHING IT TO THE TRANSMITTER
The collar receiver will have a partial charge when you receive it. To be assured of a full charge, go ahead
and charge it before first use. To charge, remove the receptacle cover and connect the receiver to the battery
charger.
Always charge the collar receivers at or near room temperature; charging at low or high temperatures can
reduce battery life.
A full charge takes approximately twelve hours. A fully charged battery should give 48 – 72 hours of normal
use.
The receiver will be ON when you disconnect it from the charger and its light will be on. Press the transmitter
button to electronically match the collar and transmitter. The receiver light will flicker and stimulation will
occur during matching. The light will then slowly blink, indicating the unit is ON and ready to use.
