The RS232 socket (38) permits software updates to be carried out and to
operate the device via an external control (e.g.: AMX). The pin assignment is
as follows:

1 GND
2 TxD
3 RxD

The USB port (39) can be used to connect the device to a PC to perform
firmware updates and permit external control.
The connection is established via a standard MS Windows driver. An Apple
driver needs to be installed manually if required.
