Relieve the pressure
5.8.1
General
Temperature differences can cause overpressure in unconnected hoses and tools. This overpressure
can make it impossible to connect the parts. You can use the pressure relief tool to remove this
overpressure. This accessory is available for all Holmatro hose systems and is supplied by default with
every pump.
NOTICE
We recommend you keep more than one of these tools on hand.
5.8.2
Hose with CORE™ couplers
Refer to Fig. 9.
•
Hook the pressure relief tool over the male coupler (1).
•
Turn the knob clockwise (2) to release the pressure. Some oil will be released.
•
Turn the knob counterclockwise (3).
•
Remove the pressure relief tool from the coupler (4).
5.8.3
Relief the pressure in connected hoses
General
If it is not possible to disconnect the hydraulic hose because the system is still under pressure, the
pressure can be released with the pressure relief valve.
CORE™ system
•
Stop the pump.
•
Turn the screw of the pressure relief valve (refer to Fig. 2, 6) clockwise until it is blocked. The
pressure is relieved.
•
Turn the screw of the pressure relief valve counterclockwise with a number of turns until it is
blocked, to get ready for using the tool.
5.9
Starting the pump
•
Check the battery level.
•
Recharge or replace the battery, if necessary.
•
Connect the hydraulic hose (optional).
•
Push the on/off switch to start the pump. refer to Fig. 2, 9) .
5.10
Stopping the pump
•
Push the on/off switch to stop the pomp. refer to Fig. 2, 9).
5.11
Charging the battery pack
•
Read the instructions of the battery charger before you charge the battery pack.
•
Only use one of the prescribed Holmatro battery chargers to charge the battery pack.
