Please read the operating instructions and familiarise yourself with the unit prior to using it for the first time. Adhere to the
safety information for the correct and safe use of the unit.
Intended use
The use of the Bitron, termed the 'unit' in the following is restricted for cleaning normal pond water.
Use other than that intended
Danger to persons can emanate from this unit if it is not used in accordance with the intended use and in the case of
misuse. If used for purposes other than than intended, our warranty will become null and void general operating permit.

We declare conformity in the sense of the EC directive, EMC directive (89/336/EEC) as well as the low voltage directive
(73/23/EEC). The following harmonised standards apply:
EN 60335-1, EN 60598-1, EN 60598-2-1, EN 55015, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, EN 61547

Safety information

OASE has manufactured this unit according to the state of the art and the valid safety regulations. Despite of this, danger
for persons and assets could emanate from this unit, if it is used inappropriately or for purposes other than those intended,
or if the safety information is ignored.
For safety reasons, children and young persons under 16 years of age, who cannot recognise possible danger
or who are not familar with these operating instructions, are not permitted to use this unit!
Please keep these operating instructions in a safe place! Also hand over the operating instructions when passing the unit
on to a new owner. Ensure that all work with this unit is only carried out in accordance with these instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can imply a high risk to life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly connected or
inappropriately handled.
Attention! Dangerous ultra-violet radiation.
The radiation of the UVC lamp is dangerous for eyes and skin! Never operate the lamp of the unit outside of its housing
and never without the cleaning rotor, knowing that the latter provides an eye protection from UVC radiation.
For your own safety, consult a qualified electrician when you have questions or encounter problems!
Never immerse the unit in water! Always disconnect the power supply of all units located in water and of this unit prior to
performing work on the unit! Only operate the unit when plugged into an earthed socket. The latter must have been in-
stalled in accordance with the valid national regulations. Ensure that the protective earth wire is led to the unit. Never use
installations, adapters, extension or connection cables without protective contact! The cross section of supply connection
cables must not be smaller than the rubber cables identified with H05 RNF. Extension cables must meet DIN VDE 0620.
Ensure that the unit is supplied via a fault current protection (FI or RCD) with a reference fault current of 30 mA maximum.
Never use the unit when persons are in the water! Never use the pump for fluids other than water! Never open the unit
housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitely mentioned in the operating instructions. Never run the unit
without water!
Important! The unit is equipped with permanent magnets. The magnetic field can influence pacemakers.
Never operate the unit if the cable, inspection glass or housing are defective! Disconnect the power! Do not carry or pull
the unit by the connection cable. Electrical installations at garden ponds and swimming pools must meet the international
and national regulations valid for installers. Compare the electrical data of the supply with those on the unit type plate.
For your own safety, consult a qualified electrician when you have questions or encounter problems! Protect the connec-
tion cable when burying to stop damage. Only use cables approved for outside use. Protect the power connection from
moisture.
Installation
Install the unit horizontally, with its feet down (C). Choose a place for the unit which cannot be flooded! Minimum distance
between the unit and the pond: 2 m. Install the unit so that it is not exposed to direct sun radiation. Ensure that the unit
will never run without water!
During installation (A and B), observe the correct position of the flat seal (2) and the O ring (1).

- Lampe prüfen und Lampe nach 8000/h wechseln
- Einstellung prüfen, Pumpenleistung beachten
- Netzstecker ziehen, Pumpe ausschalten.
- Strömungsdüse bzw. Wasserabläufe säubern
- Strömungsdüse einsetzen, da Wasserdruck zu gering
