Wasser reinigen. Die Trennwand zwischen Filter- und Substratkammer entfernen. Den Reinigungsauslass mit dem Ab-
sperrschieber öffnen, bis das Wasser vollständig abgeflossen ist, wieder schließen und die Pumpe solange einschalten,
bis der Filter vollständig mit Teichwasser gefüllt ist. Erneut den Reinigungsauslass öffnen und das Wasser ablassen.
Diesen Klarspülvorgang 2-3mal wiederholen. Die Substratrohre entnehmen, unter fließendem Wasser reinigen oder das
Substrat austauschen. Die Substratrohre wieder in die Führungen einsetzen, die Trennwand wieder einsetzen, den Sieb-
Einsatz wieder nach unten klappen und den Deckel des Filters schließen, Pumpe wieder einschalten.
Lagern/Überwintern
Bei Wassertemperaturen unter 8 °C oder spätestens bei zu erwartendem Frost müssen Sie das Gerät außer Betrieb
nehmen. Das Gerät entleeren, eine gründliche Reinigung durchführen und dabei auf mögliche Schäden überprüfen. Den
Siebeinsatz mit der Rieselmatte, alle Schaumstoffeinsätze und die Substratrohre entfernen und reinigen, trocken und
frostfrei lagern. Der Aufbewahrungsort muss für Kinder unzugänglich sein. Decken Sie den Filterbehälter so ab, dass kein
Regenwasser eindringen kann. Entleeren Sie sämtliche Schläuche, Rohrleitungen und Anschlüsse soweit wie möglich.
Verschleißteile
Filterschäume und Substratfilter sind Verschleißteile und unterliegen nicht der Gewährleistung.
Entsorgung
Das Gerät ist gemäß den nationalen gesetzlichen Bestimmungen zu entsorgen. Fragen Sie Ihren Fachhändler.

Intended use
The Biotec 12/18/36 series, in the following text termed unit, is exclusively intended for the mechanical and biological
cleaning of garden ponds with or without fish population at a minimum water temperature of +8°C. The unit must not be
used for commercial or industrial purposes and not in conjunction with chemicals, foodstuffs, and easily flammable or
explosive substances.
Use other than that intended
Danger to persons can emanate from this unit if it is not used in accordance with the intended use and in the case of
misuse. If used for purposes other than that intended, our warranty and operating permit will become null and void
Safety information
OASE has manufactured this unit according to the highest quality standards and the valid safety regulations. In spite of
the above, hazards for persons and assets can emanate from this unit if it is used in an improper manner or not in
accordance with its intended use, or if the safety instructions are ignored.
For safety reasons, children and young persons under 16 years of age as well as persons who cannot recognise
possible danger or who are not familiar with these operating instructions, are not permitted to use the unit!
Please keep these operating instructions in a safe place! Also hand over the operating instructions when passing the unit
on to a new owner. Ensure that all work with this unit is only carried out in accordance with these instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can lead to danger to life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly connected and
misused. Prior to reaching into the water, always disconnect the power supply to all units used in the water. Electrical
installations in garden ponds must meet the international and national regulations for installers. Never open the unit
housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions. Never carry out
technical changes to the unit. Only use original spare parts and accessories. Only allow authorised customer service
outlets to perform repairs. Never use the system for filtering fluids other than water! Ensure that the filter will not overflow.
Danger of completely emptying the pond. For your own safety, consult an expert when you have questions or encounter
problems! When using a UVC clarifying unit (Bitron) disconnect the power supply prior to starting maintenance work!
Installation
Lay the outlet pipes for the water outlet into the pond and for the drain outlet into the sewage system or flower bed (5)
with a sufficient gravity. Place the unit in a flood protected position at a distance from the pond edge (4) of at least 2m on
