Cutting blade

Selecting the right cutting blade
Selecting the right cutting blade is a precondition
for proper machine function. It is important to select
cutting blades of high quality to avoid unnecessary
machine damage.
Two standard cutting blade designs are available;
abrasive blades and diamond blades.
Abrasive blades are made up of abrasive particles
held together by an organic bonding agent. The
type and size of the abrasive particles determine the
cutting characteristics of the blade.
Diamond blades are manufactured from industrial
diamonds held together by a bonding agent. These
blades are characterized as having low operational
cost, constant cutting depth and less cutting dust
formation.
The machine can be destroyed if you use an incorrect
cutting blade.
Recommended cutting blades are listed in the
machine's spare parts list.

Checking the blade
Always inspect a new blade for damage before
installation.
Abrasive blade
>
Check that the abrasive blade is approved for the
same or higher speed according to the approved
plate of the machine. Never use a blade with a
lower speed rating than that of the concrete saw.
>
Check that the abrasive blade is not cracked or
damaged in any way.
>
Test the abrasive blade by hanging it on your
finger and tapping it lightly with a screwdriver .
If the blade does not produce a full ringing sound
it is damaged.
>
After using an abrasive blade with water cooling,
run the blade dry for about half a minute. If an
abrasive blade is stored in humid conditions, it
can cause imbalance and result in injury.
Diamond blade
>
Check that the diamond blade is rotating in the
direction indicated by the arrow on the blade.
>
Always use a sharp diamond blade. Sharpen the
blade by cutting in a soft material such as
sandstone or brick.
