3. Starting operation, Filtering

3.1 Starting operation
Open water tap.

Switch on electrical supply.
b
Press briefly button (1)
b
The machine begins to heat up. The display (3) shows
the amount of litres of the selected brewing volume, e.g.
Temp.
20 Ltr.
Connect the heated storage urn (15) to the plug socket
b
(21) with the connecting lead (20).
Position storage urn directly next to hot water unit (7).
b
For filtering units, position serving trolley directly next to
main unit. Switch on heater for storage urn (16).

Pre-heat storage urn (15) with hot water (approx. 2 lit-

res) for about 10 minutes. Discharge water through tap
(17).
Position condensate lid (12) in the storage urn.

Insert filter paper (fold up embossed bottom) into filter
b
(11) and fill in ground coffee (approx. 35 - 50 g/litre) or
tea (approx. 5 - 12 g/litre).
Place filter on the storage urn and close with lid (10).

Please take care that the stopper (9) is not inserted.
Position swivel arm (8) directly above the opening in the
b
lid.

3.2 Program selection

3.3 Filtering
START
Press button (6) . The selected litre quantity

STOP
is programed, the brewing process begins, a signal tone
sounds. The display shows:

Caution: if the storage urn and/or swivel arm are not

correctly positioned, the filtering process cannot begin.
The display shows:
CHECK
POSITION
A signal tone sounds when the selected water quantity
b
has been discharged.
Caution: there is still hot liquid in the filter! Wait until the
filter is completely empty of liquid before removing.
Otherwise there is a danger of scalding!

4. Filtering with the timer

4.1 Preparing the machine

(see 3.1 „Starting operation", page 5)
Open water tap. Switch on electrical supply.

Switch on machine ON/OFF.

Connect storage urn and switch on heater.

Place filter with filter paper and ground coffee on stora-

ge urn.
Put lid on and position swivel arm.

Select desired quantity in litres using buttons (2)

and (4) .
Switch off machine with button (1)

and (4) select the
