Commissioning

Warning
Unexpected movement of components.
Injury due to impact or pinching.
• Ensure that there are the following precautions:
– Nobody can reach into the path of the moving
components (e.g. by providing a protective
guard).
– There are no foreign objects in the travel
range.
It should not be possible to touch the ELFA until
the load has come to a complete standstill.
• Commission the unit following the operating instructions for the drive axis (e.g. ELGA-TB-RF).

Maintenance and care

• Clean the ELFA guide axis as required with a soft cloth.
Any agents that do not damage the material may be used as cleaning agents.
• In the case of ELFA-RF-...-P0, check the installation space of the guide for foreign objects and re­
move these if present.

The lubrication interval S

– Dusty and dirty environment
– Nominal strokes  2000 mm
– Speeds  2 m/s
– Travel profile Z delta operation (frequent acceleration and braking)
– Ambient temperatures  +40 °C
– Product has been in operation for  3 years.
• If one of these factors applies, halve the lubrication interval S
• If several factors apply at the same time, reduce the lubrication interval by three-
quarters.
