3.1 Assembling the back pres‐
sure valve
Safety information
CAUTION!
When using therelief valve with sticky
media ensure appropriate precautions
are taken. E.g. for Styrol: flush after a
response.
CAUTION!
Observe the correct flow direction
through the back pressure valve - see
the direction arrow on the housing.
CAUTION!
Prior to installation, remove water from
the back pressure valves if they are to
be used together with media that must
not come into contact with water.
CAUTION!
The back pressure valves must not be
installed under mechanical strain, e.g.
exerted by the pipework.
– Fit pipe compensators if neces‐
sary.
CAUTION!
Observe the tightening torques for
plastic fittings.
CAUTION!
Only FDA valves: Problems with
hygiene possible
The valves and the seals supplied can
become somewhat contaminated by
packaging and shipment.
– Thoroughly clean the seals sup‐
plied before use and flush through
the valves.
The back pressure valves can be installed at
any point in the pipework and in any position.
