NOTES:
• If the current time is not set, the timer standby setting
cannot be set to "ON". Be sure to set the current time
before turning on the timer.
• The timer will operate as long as it is turned on, even if
the time setting is off due to a power failure. If you want
the timer to operate correctly, be sure the current time
is properly set.
• If the timer start time is reached while the power is
turned on, the set operates as set for the timer. (The
timer settings are given priority.)
• Be sure to set the power to the standby mode to
operate the timer.
• TO Listen to the TUNER with the Everyday Timer
• Set "Timer TUNER" in Step 4, then press the
TIMER/SET button.
• " R_L/F!'I ........ H " will be displayed. Use the
FUNCTION/SELECT dial to select the preset channel on
which you would like to receive with the timer, then
press the TIMER/SET button.
• Hereafter, the same procedure is performed from Step
6.
• The included remote control unit can be used to turn the power to the standby mode after a maximum of 120 minutes. (Sleep
timer)
• Use this function to automatically switch the power to the standby mode after a specific amount of time (minutes).
Example: To set the power to the standby mode in 50 minutesaccording to the clock. Be sure to correct the current time setting.

Select and play the desired function.
Press the SLEEP button.
• "120" is displayed and the "SLEEP" indicator
flashes.
Remote controE unit
The display switches as follows each time the
SLEEP button is pressed:
_ 120 _._90 _._ 60 _._ 50 _._ 40 _._ 30 _.- 20 _.- 10,
"SLEEP" indicator off _
When the "SLEEP" indicator is flashing, press the
SLEEP button again until "50" is displayed.
• "50" is displayed and the "SLEEP" indicator flashes.

Remote controEunit
After 4 seconds, the display returns to as it was
before the sleep timer was set, and the "SLEEP"
indicator stops flashing, remaining lit. (This
completes the sleep timer setting.)
The power is set to the standby mode 50 minutes later.
NOTES:
• If the SLEEP button is pressed while the sleep timer is
operating, the setting returns to 120 minutes. Make the
setting over.
• If the sleep timer and everyday timer settings overlap,
the sleep timer has priority.

• Also, the everyday timer will not operate if its start time
is set within the time during which the sleep timer is
operating.

• The remaining time of the sleep timer can be checked
with the STATUS button.
_= To turn the sleep timer off, press the SLEEP button
repeatedly until the "SLEEP" indicator turns off. The sleep
timer can also be turned off by press the power button on
the main unit or the remote control unit to turn the entire
system's power to the standby mode.
