1. Remove the power outlet panel:
For all 2001-2002 models, and all
DX and HX trims:
a. Unclip the power outlet panel,
disconnect all connectors, and
then remove the panel. (Figure A)
For the 2003-2005 EX, LX, and VP
trims:
a. For automatic models only,
unsnap the beauty trim ring from
around the shifter. (Figure B)

b. Unclip the shifter trim panel and
then remove (2) Phillips screws
located between the shifter and
the cupholder. (Figure C)
c. Starting from the rear of the
power outlet panel, unclip (4)
clips (2 on each side) outward,
and then lift the panel up and
towards the rear of the vehicle
to unclip and release the
remaining (3) clips (3) from the
front of the panel. (Figure D)
d. Disconnect all connectors and
then remove the panel.
2. Remove the (2) 5/16" screws from
under the radio, and then remove
the climate/radio assembly by firmly
pushing on the rear of the radio
to release the clips securing the
assembly to the vehicle. Disconnect
all connectors. (Figure E)
Note: The metal is very sharp, so
be careful.
