INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USE AND MAINTENANCE - DUO JD

PRESENTATION

This manual features all the information you will need to gain familiarity with the «Vacuum-prime engine-driven centrifugal pump
mod. DUO JD» (hereinafter also referred to as the unit), use it correctly and perform routine maintenance. The pump has been built
by VARISCO SpA - Terza Strada, 9 - Zona Industriale Nord - PADOVA - Italy, hereinafter also referred to as the Manufacturer.
Failure to comply with the instructions given herein shall result in the Manufacturer declaring the warranty granted on the unit
void. For repairs or reconditioning entailing work of some complexity, you are required to contact the Manufacturer directly, who
will in all cases be glad to provide you with prompt, thorough technical assistance.

WARRANTY

than 18 months from the date of delivery. Repairs performed under warranty shall not cause the warranty period to start anew.
The warranty concerns defects in materials and workmanship that compromise the product's operation and make it unsuitable for
the use the product was designed for, provided they are reported without delay and nonetheless no more than 2 days after they
were discovered. Damage as a result of the physical or chemical properties of the liquid handled is excluded from the warranty,
as is damage to parts whose very nature or purpose make them subject to wear or deterioration (seals, diaphragms, vacuum and
pressure valves, rubber or plastic parts), or damage that results from failure to comply with our instructions for use or maintenance,
from poor or inadequate use or storage of the product or from alterations or repairs made by personnel not expressly authorized
by us. If the serial n° cannot be determined, the unit will not be covered by the warranty. Our provision of service under warranty
repair or to replace the goods at our absolute discretion. Goods may be returned only if authorized by us in writing, sent
carriage free to Varisco SpA - Padua. All expenses for disassembling/reassembling the product from/on its installation site and any
other work performed on site shall be borne by the purchaser. Repaired or replacement goods shall be returned to the purchaser
ex-works Varisco SpA - Padua. The replaced goods shall become our property. It is understood that the above-mentioned warranty
incorporates and replaces the warranties or responsibilities provided for by law, and relieves us of any other liability (claim for
damages, loss of earnings, recall campaigns, purchaser's labour, halt of work on site, decrease in sale price etc.). All disputes
are the exclusive competence of the court of Padua.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The warranty becomes void (in addition to the circumstances featured in the supply agreement):
- Should an operating error occur attributable to the operator.
- Should the instructions featured herein not be followed.
Damage as a result of negligence, carelessness, bad and improper use of the unit is also excluded from the warranty. Removing
all liability.

DESCRIPTION OF THE UNIT

The «vacuum-prime engine-driven centrifugal pump mod. DUO JD» is a unit featuring «EC» marking in compliance with European
directives (see conformity declaration attached to the machine).
The horizontal vacuum-prime engine-driven centrifugal pump mod. DUO JD is basically a pump driven by a diesel engine (14
Fig. 1), with a vacuum pump unit (15 Fig. 1), featuring an open vane impeller to allow it to handle even liquids containing solids.
This pump can also operate satisfactorily with liquids containing dissolved gases or air.
It is suitable for handling liquids of viscosity up to 50 cSt, containing solids in suspension, and can be used in industry, civil
engineering, shipbuilding, wastewater treatment, construction and agriculture.
It must not be used in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
Always quote the pump type printed on the relevant nameplate (1 Fig. 1), or the serial number, when ordering/making enquiries
etc..

Any other use the unit is put to that is not contemplated in this manual shall relieve the Manufacturer of any and all
liability for injury of persons or animals or for damage to property.
