DISPOSAL

- Do not discard the pump, or any part of it, in the environment.
- Metal parts can be recycled as scrap.
- Greases and oils should be recovered, stored and disposed of through approved agencies in accordance with the regulations
in force in the country where the pump is being used.
- Elastomer gaskets must be kept separate and disposed f through an authorized waste disposal agency in accordance with the
law.
- The battery must be kept separate and disposed of through an authorized collection centre in accordance with the law.
Lastly, remember the Manufacturer will always be glad to help you with necessary assistance and/or spare parts.

TROUBLESHOOTING, CAUSES AND REMEDIES

Before commencing troubleshooting, make sure testing instruments (vacuum gauge, pressure gauge, revolution counter,

Delivery pipe under pressure
Pump speed low
Impeller may be worn or broken
Cutwater (leading edge of the volute) may
be worn
Suction strainer, where applicable, may be
clogged
Excessive suction lift
Air entering through seal
Impeller clogged by foreign matter
Slackening or breakage of the vacuum
pump drive belt
Pump does not prime
Head required by the system is greater than
the rated head of the pump
line
Impeller clogged by foreign matter
Suction/delivery pipes may be obstructed
or clogged
Remedy
Bleed delivery pipe.
Only increase speed once you
have checked the contract data and
pump performance curves.
Disassemble pump casing as
described in section 10.2 and check
impeller for wear
Remove pump casing as described
in section 10.2. Build up the cutwater
with solder and shape it to restore
severely worn, replace the casing.
Remove obstructions.
Reduce suction lift.
Disassemble seal and clean it (see
sect. 10.4); if the problem persists,
replace the seal.
Disassemble casing and remove
foreign matter
Restore belt tension and/or replace
if worn or broken
See causes given in point 13.1.
Revise system design or select a
different pump
Revise distribution of elbows,
valves, constrictions etc.. Where
necessary, increase diameter of
pipework
Disassemble casing and remove
