Filter replacement
WARNING
Always wear face mask and gloves during filter
replacement.
You must learn from experience when to replace the filter
cartridges, since the lifespan strongly depends on the welding
process, the composition of the welding fumes, the intensity of
use and the humidity.
Replace the filter cartridges:
- when damaged;
- when the airflow remains insufficient;
- in case of a continuous alarm situation, while the system is
running.
To replace the filter cartridges proceed as follows.
•
Turn rotary knob to 0 (=off).
•
Turn off the main switch.
•
Disconnect the compressed air connection.
•
Loosen the lid (ref. Fig. 4.3A) and remove it.
•
Remove the labyrinth spark arrester (upper and lower part;
ref. Fig. 4.3B+C).
•
Remove the filter cover plate.
•
Remove the upper filter cartridge. It can be lifted by the
plastic handles.
•
Pack the used filter cartridge in the plastic bag in which the
new filter is supplied. Seal the bag firmly.
•
Remove the intermediate ring.
•
Remove the lower filter cartridge and pack it the same way
as the upper filter.
•
Position the new filter cartridges and mount all parts in
reverse order.
•
Dispose of the used filter cartridges in accordance with state
or local regulations.
ATTENTION
Verify correct position of intermediate ring.
To ensure initial operating efficiency of the filter cartridges, they
should not be cleaned during the first 40 operation hours after
filter replacement. This is achieved by resetting the hour
counter.
•
Bypass P1 and input I17 on PLC to reset hour counter.

incorrectly.
Bush damaged.
TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING
Always switch off the system, disconnect it from the
