Icaro
A new concept in stabilizer jackets with back
volume that offers maximum simplicity and
lightness.
Quick and easy adjustment and its simple
usage make Icaro the ideal and irreplaceable
component for every dive.
Icaro Tech
Absolute technology and freedom of move-
ment were studied to create a sporty/profes-
sional stabilizing jacket. Icaro Tech is surpri-
singly easy to move in and lightweight, as
well as having superlative technical features.
A line of optional accessories make it espe-
cially practical and comfortable.
Icaro Tech - Inner and outer bag
The ICARO TECH stabilizing jacket is made in
Cordura 1000 resined with PU, which is
extremely resistant to abrasion and tearing,
guaranteeing long-lasting durability.
The easy-to-use and practical zip allows you
to access the internal bag in 210 nylon
coated internally with polyurethane. It is wel-
ded at a high frequency in order to create a
strong air chamber. The flanges are found
inside the inner bag and are also made in
polyurethane where they connect to the
various overpressure valves and the power
inflator.
Icaro - External bag
The ICARO stabilizing jacket is instead a sin-
gle bag in Cordura 1000 that has been inter-
nally coated with Polyurethane and welded at
a high frequency in order to create a strong
air chamber. As in the Icaro Tech model, this
material is extremely resistant to abrasion
and tearing, guaranteeing high durability as
well as easy and quick maintenance.
Icaro and Icaro Tech - The backpack
A perfect connection between the stabilizing
jacket and tank is guaranteed by a backpack
in lightweight alloy (for marine use and
highly resistant to corrosion) obtained with a
particular cold drawing process. This is then
finished with hard anodizing. The alloy is
treated with a process that unites the mole-
cule of the alloy itself, producing a protective
barrier within the material as well as on its
surface. The result is a hardness that surpas-
ses that of the best tempered steel and gua-
rantees greater resistance to impact and
scratching. This special treatment improves
its already excellent characteristics of resi-
stance to both corrosion due to the marine
environment as well as from galvanic corro-
sion. In the case of the Icaro Tech model,
assembly to the inflatable part is by means of
n. 5 screws in stainless steel positioned
along the perimeter of the internal bag. For
the Icaro model, the connection is by means
of Velcro straps that wrap around the back-
pack itself. The adjustment of these straps is
facilitated by specially designed guide slots
angled to prevent any friction whatsoever.
The part of the backpack facing the back is
protected by a double padding in self-drai-
ning expanded material that is long-lasting,
comfortable, and lightweight. It is connected
to the tank by means of two straps with spe-
cial buckles that wrap around the tank. These
special straps guarantee that the stabilizing
jacket will accommodate any single cylinder
with a maximum diameter of 220 mm. (18-
litre steel tank). A kit including two straps
especially created to fasten 10 + 10 litre twin
cylinders is also available.
A handle for transporting the stabilizing jac-
ket guarantees the same for the cylinder val-
ves during the assembly phase by creating
an extra safety system to prevent the tank
from slipping if the connection strap should
not function correctly.
