2 Putting the Device into Operation

2.6 Switching the Device On and Off

1. To switch on the device: Switch the ON/OFF
switch to I.
2. The program control runs the start routine; the
programs are loaded:
– This procedure takes a few seconds. The
product logo and the progress bar showing the
loading state appear on the display.
– The main menu is shown on the display as
soon as loading has been completed
successfully.
3. To switch off the device: Switch the ON/OFF
switch to O.
4. Remove the grounding pin plug (Schuko plug)
from the socket (only in standing version).

2.7 Actuating the customer pushbutton

The customer pushbutton
temperature set for the following hair treatment
programs: Waving, Drying and Care
Treatment. With temperatures of more than 40 °C,
pressing the customer pushbutton reduces the
temperature by 5 °C. With the Waving hair treatment
program, the exposure time is automatically adjusted
to the reduced temperature.
• Press the customer pushbutton
– When pressing the customer pushbutton, it
lights up and the corresponding symbol is
shown on the display. This process cannot be
undone while the program is in progress.

2.8 Function of the infrared sensor

The infrared sensor controls and adjusts the
temperature set for hair treatment. If the customer's
seating position is not correct, the temperature around
the hair may drop.
The infrared sensor recognizes a temperature
deviation of more than 2 °C and issues a warning
accompanied by an acoustic signal. The warning
can be acknowledged in order to remove it:
– Highlight the OK
press P to activate it.
