Indicators
To support start-up and fault diagnosis the evaluation unit has several indicators
(light emitting diodes = LEDs) on the front panel.
Voltage supply
The green LED B5 (see the figure on page 18) indicates the internal supply voltage.
Fault indication
In principle, the red LED B4 (see the figure on page 18) indicates that the safety chain
is not ready for operation. Immediately after power on this operating state is active
until the first enabling and testing of all connected fail-safe switches/chains. If this
operating state occurs after the first enabling, a fault was found.
Triggering the output stages
The two green LEDs B6 (see the figure on page 18) indicate whether the output
relays are switched.
Clock output
Approx. 5 seconds after power on the yellow LED B1 flashes (see the figure on page
18) with a frequency of approx. 3 Hz.
This clock signal is then successively applied to the connected fail-safe switches.
Sensor display
The green LEDs B2 and B3 (see the figure on page 18) indicate the enable
information (flash with a frequency of approx. 3 Hz) of the connected fail-safe
switches/chains 1...3 and 4...6.
(Note: If a switch chain with an even number of the type GI5002, GM503S or with
one or several GM504S, GM505S, GG505S or GI505S is connected, this display
function is suppressed.
When connecting GM504S, GM505S, GG505S or GI505S the enable information is
only displayed on the switch.
When combining all stated fail-safe switch types the enable information is displayed
on the evaluation unit if an odd number of type GI5002 or GM503S is included in
the connected switch chain.)
