WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS

• To be installed and/or used in accordance with appropriate electrical codes and regulations.
• If you are not sure about any part of these instructions, consult an electrician.
• To avoid overheating and possible damage to this device and other equipment, do not install to control a receptacle, fluorescent lighting, a motor- or transformer-operated
appliance.
• Use only with 18-2 AWG SPT-1 or SPT-2 parallel lamp cord.
• Use this device with copper or copper clad wire only.
• Follow these instructions exactly to maintain the polarity of a correctly wired system.
FEATURES
• Rated: 200W-120VAC Incandescent Only
• Easy feed-through cord wiring.
• Brings convenience of full range dimming to most lamps.
INSTALLATION
1. Remove screws and separate device (refer to Fig. 1).
2. On part of cord where you wish to put dimmer, cut a 3" (7.6 cm) slit along center of insulation (refer to Fig. 2).
CAUTION: DO NOT strip or damage insulation on wires.
3. Cut WHITE or smooth or non-ribbed lead in middle of the slit portion of the cord (refer to Fig. 3).
4. Remove 1/4" (0.5 cm) of insulation from both ends of wire.
5. Place uncut wire under coil. Separated wires go around posts. To connect bare wire ends, insert under terminal clamps (refer to Fig. 5). Firmly tighten terminal screws.
Tuck both wires under circuit board.
6. Assemble case. Tighten screws.
7. Plug in lamp or restore power at circuit breaker or fuse. INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.

lost sales or profits or delay or failure to perform this warranty obligation. The remedies provided herein are the exclusive remedies under this warranty, whether based on contract, tort or otherwise.
