INSTALLATION

This section indicates how to connect the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST™
accessories. Before proceeding with installation, inspect the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman
DuoST™ device and its accessories as described under "Checking the components and
device preparation", on page 4.
WARNINGS
•
Place the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST™ device on a horizontal stable surface
in a clean environment.
•
Avoid placing the device too close to a wall, which could interfere with airflow into
the device.

Disassembling the water chamber

If the device is not equipped with an integrated humidifier, skip to paragraph 1.b of "",
on page 44.
If the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST™ device has an integrated humidifier (HC
model), follow this procedure:
1. First, turn off the device by holding down the on/off button for several seconds and
remove the patient circuit if necessary. As the integrated humidifier is located at the
rear of the device, place your fingers on the grip marks on either side of the cover
and press in to separate the water chamber.
2. Tip the water chamber back as shown in Figure 9. Remove the water chamber from
the machine.
