OPERATION
This section describes how to use the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman device when it is
installed as directed in the preceding section. Included are the instructions for how to
use the pressure ramp feature, how to access settings information to view it or change
it, and how to download data in memory to a memory card.
WARNING
In the "Starting Treatment" and "" sections, it is essential that the steps are followed
in the order given. Failure to do so could cause an accident, particularly in cases where
oxygen is used.
Starting Treatment
1. To start the device, press and release the on/off button (item 4 of Figure 3 on page
7). The screen illuminates and displays the estimated mask pressure with the
Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST™ device (see Figure 14).

If the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST device is equipped with an integrated
heated
humidifier,
humidification level setting is set between 1 and 10. The heated humidifier indicator
then displays on the screen. When the heating feature is disabled, the
humidification symbol displays without steam
