4 Switching on

4.1 General

The instrument has 3 keys:
'UP' key
'ON' key
'DOWN' key
The instrument also has a beeper that
sounds when a key has been pressed or
gives an alarm in certain situations.
UP ON DOWN
The 'ON' key switches on the background
lighting and allows the 'UP' and 'DOWN'
keys to be used.
The 'ON' key is also used to enter setup
mode.
The background lighting will switch off automatically 30 seconds after the last command
has been given (this time can be changed).
In normal use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' keys are used to raise or lower the anchor.
