Troubleshooting

PROBLEM
Bender does not operate.
Bender operates, but display is
blank.
Display comes on, but bender
does not bend.
Display comes on, but does not
count during bend.
Bender operates in wrong
direction.
Bends are overbent a few
degrees.
Bends are underbent a few
degrees.

PROBABLE CAUSE
No voltage.
Insufficient voltage.
Pendant was plugged in while bender
was on.
Bend angle already exceeds angle in
memory.
Bender was advanced 93 degrees.
Bender turned on while conduit was
fully loaded.
Wrong conduit size and/or type
selected.
Wrong conduit size and/or type
selected.
Too much squeeze on 1-1/2" or 2"
EMT, IMC, or rigid aluminum conduit.
Unusual conduit characteristics.
Wrong conduit size and/or type
selected.
Too little squeeze on 1-1/2" or 2"
EMT, IMC, or rigid aluminum conduit.
Unusual conduit characteristics.

Check supply voltage circuit operation.
Check that switch is on.
Check that pendant is fully plugged in.
Use shorter or larger gauge extension
cord.
Check supply voltage (80 VAC
minimum).
Turn bender switch off and on.
CLEAR memory. BEND until display
counts. UNLOAD to desired position.
UNLOAD to desired position.
Remove conduit and initialize home
position per "Setting the Home Position"
under "Operation."
Set selector switches properly.
Set selector switches properly.
Back squeeze off per adjustment
instructions.
Refer to "Accuracy Adjustment" or bend
to a smaller angle to compensate.

instructions.
