KEY OPERATION

STANDARD SWIVEL SEAT

The SRE-3000 includes a "soft-start" feature
which prevents the unit from moving abruptly
the instant the UP/DOWN switch is pressed.
Press and hold the switch for a moment to
begin the gentle acceleration of the stairlift
to operating speed.
Depressing and holding the rocker
switch will cause the carriage to move
until the carriage stops automatically
at the upper or lower end of the stair
rail, or until the switch is released.
Two (2) remote transmitters enable
you to move the carriage to or from
either end of the stair rail.
Remote transmitters are designed to
call / send an empty seat only!
The transmitters are NOT designed to
move a seat with a person on board.

OPERATION: key operation and starndard swivel seat
®
The SRE-3000 includes a key and lock to
disable use of the stairlift (see arrow).
Turn the key to its horizontal (ON) position
(rotate clockwise) to allow the unit to operate.
When the key is in its vertical (OFF) position,
the unit cannot be operated using the rocker
switch on the chair or the remote transmitters.
NOTE: Simply turning the key to its vertical
(OFF) position does not remove all
power from the unit.
To remove all power from the unit,
you must turn off the circuit breaker
(page 6).
The key is designed to be removed in either
the horizontal (ON) or vertical (OFF) position.
If you do not need the added security of a key,
Bruno recommends turning the key to the
horizontal (ON) position, removing it from
the carriage and storing it in a safe place.
1. Turn the keyswitch to ON.
2. Position yourself in the seat.
3. Fasten the positioning belt.
4. Depress and hold the seat swivel lever.
5. Rotate the seat so that you are at right
angles to the rail (with your back to
the stairway wall).
6. Release the seat swivel lever to secure
the seat in that position.
A safety switch prevents operation of
the SRE-3000 unless the seat is locked
in position at right angles to the rail
(the "riding" position).
7. Lower both armrests completely.
NOTE: If the armrests are not completely
lowered, a safety switch disables the rocker
switch and the stairlift will not operate.
