1. Instructions
These installation and operating instructions must be followed during installation
and operation. Read them carefully. We recommend that you keep these
instructions where the device is used. Particular attention must be paid to
instructions marked as follows:
WARNING
Other relevant regulations should also be followed: e.g. accident prevention
regulations or the internal operating and safety instructions of the system
manufacturer.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in the loss of all entitlement to claim
damages.
The unit must not be used by children, by people with limited bodily,
sensual or mental capabilities, by people with lack of experience and
expertise. If such persons shall operate the unit, they must be kept
under the necessary supervision or must be properly instructed so that
they can understand the risks originating from operating the unit.
This unit is not a toy, children must not play with it.
The unit must not be used if the cable or the electrical compartment is
damaged
Damaged cable may only be replaced (so that danger is avoided) by
the manufacturer, its service agent or a trained professional electrician.
2. General Description
If hot water is not used for longer periods of time, the water in the hot water pipe
cools off. Domestic hot water pumps (also called sanitary or drinking water
circulation pumps) pump this cold water back into the water heater via a separate
circulation pipe. (See Figure 3) At the same time fresh hot water is flowing out of
the water heater and provides a constant supply of hot water at the tap. So any
time a user opens the hot faucet, warm water is readily available, the user does
not have to keep the water running and wait until it gets hot, drinking water is
conserved.
The ecocirc PRO series drinking water circulation pumps are suitable for single-
and two-family homes with a circulation pipe length of approx. 50 m. The version
at hand can be determined from the type designation:
If this instruction is not followed, it generates a risk of
personal injury.
If this instruction is not followed, the device may not function
properly and could be damaged.
