INSTALLATION

Strict observance of the power supply values shown in the electrical rating plate
is required.
The electrical panel must be installed on a dry surface, in an atmosphere that is free from oxidizing or
corrosive gases, and where no vibrations occur. If installed outdoors, the units must be fully protected
from direct sunlight. Suitable measures must be taken to ensure that the ambient temperature is kept
within the operating limits specified below. Moreover, the installation personnel must make sure that the
cable glands are perfectly sealed.

5.1

Operation.

The panel is designed to control the two electric pumps independently in manual mode through the SA1-SA2
selector switches. If the SA1 – SA2 selector switches are set to automatic operation, the electric pumps are
controlled by the pressure switches PS1 - PS2 or by float switches. For systems featuring float control, two
terminals are provided for a third float switch (FL.MIN.), needed in order to stop the electric pumps when the
suction lift is higher.
The panel provides for changeover of the sequential starting order of the two electric pumps.
The PS. MIN. pressure switch ensures protection against dry running. When tripped, it stops the electric
pumps, and this condition is signalled by LL2 and remote contacts).
The panel protects the motors against overload and phase failure. Any tripped protections are signalled by
LL4 and LL6, and remotely through dry contacts.
The protection against overload and phase failure is reset automatically up to three times, after which it must
be reset manually (protection cut-ins, from 1 to 3, are erased one hour after the last event).
