To reduce the risk of injury, always unplug tool
before attaching or removing accessories or
making adjustments. Use only specifically recom-
mended accessories. Others may be hazardous.
Adjusting Sanding Arm Position (Fig. 1)

1.
Loosen the clamp screw (Fig. 1).
2.
Rotate the bandfile head into the desired position.
3.
Tighten the clamp screw securely.
Installing Side Handle
There are three holes around the gear case to position the side handle.
Screw the side handle into the position that offers the operator the best
comfort and control of the tool.
Installing and Removing Belts (Fig. 2 & 3)
1.
Remove belt guard by sliding it off of the belt housing.
2.
Push the tension arm against a stable surface (such as the edge of
a table) to compress the spring (Fig. 2).

Fit the belt over the drive wheel and contact arm wheel. Release
tension on tension arm.
4.
Replace belt guard.
5.
Turn the bandfile on and adjust the belt tracking by turning the belt
tracking knob back and forth until the belt is aligned on the drive
wheel and the contact arm wheel (Fig. 3).

TOOL ASSEMBLY

Changing Contact Arms (Fig. 4)
1.
Remove belt guard by sliding it off of the belt housing.
2.
Remove the belt (See "Installing and Removing Belts").
3.
Unscrew the belt tracking knob until the contact arm is released. Set
contact arm aside.
4.
Install the new contact arm.
NOTE: Make sure that the tab at the end of the contact arm faces
towards the belt tracking knob.
5.
Screw the belt tracking knob into the new contact arm.
