If the work projects particles or debris
that may be hot or incandescent, use a
heat-resistant protective apron.
Each
person
entering
area must wear personal protective
equipment.
Fragments
projected during tool use and may
cause injury to the work area.
The clothing worn during the use of the
machine must be adequate, fair and
closed, for example, a combined fact.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewels.
Keep hair, clothing and gloves away
from moving parts.
To avoid the risk of accidents, the
following
instructions
considered:
 Always use clean compressed air,
dry and with a pressure equal to or less
than the technical specifications of the
tool;
 Never use oxygen, carbon dioxide
or combustible gases as a source of
energy to get the tool running.;
 The nominal speed of the rotating
accessories must be at least equal to
the maximum speed indicated in the
technical specifications of the tool;
 When using the tool, place yourself
in a stable position and always maintain
balance. Hold the tool firmly to ensure
continuous operation and withstand
unexpected situations such as kickback;
The kickback is a sudden reaction that
happens when the tool is turned on and
when the rotary attachment gets stuck
or tight. The kickback of the rotary
attachment causes the tool to be forced
in the direction opposite to the rotation
of the rotary attachment.
The kickback is due to incorrect use
of the tool or work procedures not
suitable for the work performed. Loss
of control of the drill can cause serious
injury. To avoid kickback, the following
precautions must be taken into account:
- Always use the auxiliary handle
provided with the tool in order to have
the greatest possible control over the
kickback forces or reaction binaries
the
work
during acceleration and starting of the
tool;
may
be
- Insert and hold the rotating accessory
in the correct position and tightly;
- Keep hands and body away from
rotating accessories during operation;
- Do not place yourself in the area
where the tool might be projected, in
case of kickback;
- When the rotary accessory locks,
switch off the tool immediately;
must
be
- Take special care when using the tool
in sharp corners or sharp edges. Avoid
the accessory to jump or get caught in
the work piece;
 To avoid displacement or projection
of the work piece, use fastening
devices or a workbench to ensure that
you perform the work safely;
 Always use the disc protection. If
replacement is required, it must be
replaced with a material of equal
strength and with a protection angle of
not more than 180 °;
 The outer diameter, thickness and
fitting hole of the accessories must
be compatible with the technical
specifications of the tool. Accessories
with an incorrect size cannot be
adequately protected or controlled;
 Make sure that the ventilation grids
are not blocked while operating the
machine. Do not place any objects over
the grids;
 Rotating accessories and work piece
may become too hot during operation.
Avoid touching them, they can cause
burns;
 Make sure that you don't damage
the electrical circuits, gas and water
pipes when operating the equipment.
Any of these damages may cause fires,
explosions, electrical shocks or several
expensive losses;
When using the tool, plan rest breaks
and avoid using the tool for long
periods. Permanent vibrations are
harmful to health.
A large load of vibrations can cause
damage
to
the
circulatory
nervous systems, especially in people
with circulatory problems. Consult
a physician if symptoms occur that
may be caused by vibrations. These
symptoms, which mainly occur on
the fingers, hands or wrists, include,
for example, loss of sensation, pain,
muscle weakness, discoloration of the
skin or an unpleasant tingling sensation.
Avoid using the machine on
surfaces coated with paints
containing lead or other materials
harmful to health. Any contact or
inhalation of dust may cause allergic
reactions and/or breathing diseases.
Materials containing asbestos cannot
be worked. Asbestos is carcinogenic;
Do not use compressed air tools in
explosive atmospheres, especially in
the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dusts. When using the tool,
sparks may be produced which ignite
liquids, gases or dust;
2.4 - COMPRESSED AIR
SYSTEM
To ensure the safe use of the tool, to
facilitate the exchange of accessories,
to optimize the operation of the tool
and to increase its useful life, some
care and procedures must be taken into
consideration:
 The air pressure feeding the tool must
not exceed the maximum pressure
shown in the technical specifications
of the tool;
 The compressed air system must
have a line filter capable of regulating
working pressure, eliminating liquid
and
