Cartridge/Filter Assembly & Removal from Facepiece
1. Align the port end of the cartridges with the ports on the facepiece (Fig. 1).
2. Push the cartridge into the connector until you hear a click and the blue cartridge/filter release button raises back to its initial position (Fig. 2).
3. If the cartridge does not "click" into place when inserted it may be due to the angle of insertion. Lift up slightly on the cartridge until the cartridge
clicks into place (Fig.3).
4. Ensure you connect a cartridge to each side of the facepiece.
5. To remove the cartridge, depress the blue cartridge/filter release button and simultaneously pull outward on the cartridge (Fig. 4).
Time Use Limitations
1. Replace cartridge/filters in accordance with an established change schedule or earlier if smell, taste or irritation from contaminants is detected.
2. If cartridge/filter becomes damaged, soiled, or breathing becomes difficult, leave the contaminated area immediately and replace the cartridges.
3. If used in environments containing only oil aerosols, dispose of cartridge/filter after 40 hours of use or 30 days, whichever is first.
Inspection
Inspect each cartridge/filters prior to use for any visible signs of damage. Ensure the cartridge/filters connector is not damaged. Do not use damaged
cartridge/filters. Before initial use, always check that product is within the stated use by date, printed on cartridge pouch.
Storage
Once opened, the cartridge/filters and respirator should be stored in a cool and dry environment away from contamination.
See graph on cartridge/filters pouch for storage conditions of unopened cartridge/filters. Conditions on graph refer to annual average temperature and
relative humidity values. "✓" indicates acceptable storage conditions. "X" indicates unacceptable storage conditions. Expected shelf life is 5 years
when stored within acceptable conditions.
NIOSH Approval: See NIOSH Approval Label insert.
