STOPPING THE ENGINE

4.1 Stopping generator in NORMAL conditions.
To stop the engine in an emergency, move the engine switch (fig 3) in OFF position.
On the another hand, to stop the engine in normal conditions follow the procedure below:

CAUTION:
If fuel check valve is not shut off, gasoline might run through the carburetor up to the engine and
might partial or totally flood the cylinder. This can cause grave damages to the engine as the
crank-pulley system will encounter a non compressible fluid. Let generator cool before storing it
in any closed area.
4.2. Stopping the engine for its STORAGE
If generator will not be used for a long time, proceed as follows:
k) Shut off the tank fuel valve and let engine to
be stopped by having exhausted the
remaining gasoline of the carburetor float
bowl.
l) Drain the carburetor by loosening the drain
screw and clean traces of gasoline.
m) Drain gasoline of the tank and fuel sediment
cup.
n) Remove the spark plug and pour a
tablespoon of engine oil SAE 10 (approx.
15cc) into the cylinder. Crank the engine
several revolutions to distribute the oil. Do it a
couple of times.
