- You can use the parking aid on the back of the
vacuum cleaner if you wish to stop vacuuming
for a short while. Slide the catch on the brush
into the groove at the rear of the appliance
(Fig. 8) or clip the tube onto the vacuum cleaner
at vertical positon. (Fig. 9)
- The wheels and 360° swivel joint and the
carrying handle, make this vacuum cleaner
extremely mobile.
WHEN FINISHED
When you have finished using the appliance,
set the power regulator (7) to the minimum
position and press the On/Off button. Press the
automatic cable rewind pedal (8) to wind the
cable back in. (Fig. 10)
REPLACING AND MAINTAINING
Container full indicator (9)
When suction power decreases considerably
and a red marker is moved into a window
mounted on the top of the vacuum cleaner. This
means that the dust bag (18) is full or that the
hose or filters are blocked. If this occurs, follow
the instructions for changing the dust bag (18)
and cleaning the filters.
Changing the dust bag
- Open the cover by pressing down the release
button. (Fig. 11)
- Take the dust bag together with the bag holder
(17) out of the appliance. (Fig. 12)
- Remove the dust bag from the holder (Fig. 13).
Close the bag by pulling on the central flap.
(Fig. 14)
- To fit a new bag, fold the flap back (Fig. 15).
Insert the bag into the bag holder, following the
direction of the guide-arrow. Make sure that it
slots fully down into its housing and that it fits
correctly. Close the cover.
Important:
• There is a dust bag absence detector on the
bag holder, the cover can not be closed if there
is no bag fitted. Do not force it shut, check that
the bag is fitted correctly. (Fig. 16)
• If the suction is irregular and the bag full
indicator stays lit, check that there is nothing
blocking the hose, tube or air inlet.
• Never use the vacuum cleaner without a bag,
or try to empty a full bag and reuse it.

Replacing the filters
It is advisable to replace these filters after
changing the paper dust bags five times.
Motor protection filter (19): with no bag in the
vacuum cleaner, take the filter out and put in
a new one (Fig. 17). Never use the vacuum
cleaner without this filter fitted.
Air outlet filter (13): Open the air outlet filter
grill by pressing down the clip, take out the filter
and fit new one (Fig. 18). Put the filter cover
back in place.
Important:
• Always switch off the vacuum cleaner and
disconnect the power cord from the mains
before cleaning the appliance.
• The vacuum cleaner must never be switched
on unless these filters are fitted correctly.
• Do not use a scourer, glass-cleaning agent or
multipurpose cleaning product.
• Never immerse the whole vacuum cleaner in
water.
• To guarantee trouble-free operation only use
original Ufesa bags and filters which can be
found at authorized establishments.
FLOOR BRUSH
The general purpose floor brush (1) supplied
with this model has two different sweeping
positions.
If we press the button on the brush to the
[
] position the bristles at the front of
the brush come out which, together with the
two rear wheels, makes it easier to move across
all types of surfaces. (Fig. 19)
If we press the button on the brush to the
[
] position the bristles at the front
of the brush retract to produce more efficient
suction on carpets and rugs. (Fig. 20)
ACCESSORY
Upholstery nozzle (14)
This accessory has been designed to clean all
types of upholstery.
Crevice nozzle (15)
Use this accessory to vacuum crevices and
deep grooves and nooks, etc.
Brush for wooden floor (16)
This brush has been specially designed to clean
wooden floor surfaces, the soft hair bristles
brush over the surface picking up the dust but
without damaging the floor.
